Joffrey Lupul of the NHLs Anaheim Ducks has several blog posts about his back pain, which an MRI showed to be a herniated disc.

He had surgery for the disc on Thursday 12/18/09, and his doctor told him that the rehab would take 6-8 weeks. He was back home on Saturday 20th - so just 2 days after surgery - but his back was sore and he's not moving around very well.
