The winner of Dancing with the Stars underwent surgery last week to repair a ruptured disc in her back.

The surgery was performed by Dr. Robert S. Bray Jr. who performed the operation at the D.I.S.C. Sports and Spine Center in Marina del Rey, Calif. The surgeon said he removed "a huge fragment" from her back during the operation.

She had the ruptured disc during the finals of the dancing competition - so it's really impressive to see what you can do even with this sort of injury. Have you seen any similar stories.
