Too much focus is being placed on the size of the protrusion of the disc. Studies have shown that over 90 percent of people over sixty have either a bulged disc or generative vertebrae. Only a fraction of that group is in back pain.
Rather the disc completely reabsorbed or not, is not the issue. You can have no pain at all, and still have the same condition shown in MRI scan, as your neighbor who is in agony, with back pain.
A more holistic approach needs to be taken for back pain.
