    Default Fetal Position for Sleeping?

I read an article recently that said sleeping in the fetal position -- lying on side, knees drawn up to chest, arms wrapped under knees -- stretched the spine & decompressed discs during sleep. I haven't tried it, but it doesn't sound very comfortable. Anyone know anything about it?

There are a couple of thoughts on the best position that I've seen, either
    1. on your back, sometimes with your legs bent
    2. on your side with your legs bent up somewhat and sometimes with a pillow between them

Here's a couple of videos with examples of these.

This one initially talks about the pillow to use and then talks about positions, including mention of the fetal position at about 2 mins and 20 secs:

This one is slightly shorter and shows both on the back and on the side positions:

Thanks a lot! I may use these videos on my blog.
