    The European Spine Journal looked at whether insufficient quantity and quality of sleep was a risk factor for neck, shoulder and low back pain among adolescents.

    The paper concluded insufficient sleep at 16 years predicted Lower Back Pain in both girls and boys.

    Lack of sleep is a much bigger factor in failing health than most people realize. And not just in children or teenagers!

    When I became organized and able to stick to a strict sleep routine my blood pressure plummeted to a normal reading! I was delighted. The doctors were no longer nagging me to keep it down. (In fact the anticipation of their nagging would have the inevitable result of raising it every time I went to the doctor!)

    And apatrt from the obvious, such as being able to hold my concentration for longer, being less irritable etc, I am in a LOT less pain.
